Knot

Terms

Updated 31 August 2026

These terms cover Knot at knot.legal, operated by Klime B.V. They are separate from the Klime workspace terms on klime.com. By sending or signing a document you agree to them.

The service

Senders publish a markdown or text file from a GitHub repository they can access and share a link. Anyone with the link can confirm an email and sign. The sealed copy is the record of that signing.

Electronic signatures

A typed, drawn, or uploaded signature on Knot is a simple electronic signature (SES) under eIDAS. You are responsible for having authority to sign.

The link

The signing link is a secret. Anyone who has it can start a signing after they confirm a mailbox. Forward it to one person, not a group channel. Knot does not verify that the signer is the person you meant.

Your content

You grant Klime a licence to host the document, the signature image, and the sealed copy so we can run the service and email both parties a copy.
